David M. (Cotton) Johnson

David Marshall (Cotton) Johnson 84, of Madison Heights, was called to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer.

 Marshall was born in Pleasant View; he was the son of the late Henry B. and Vivian N. Johnson.

 In addition to his wife of 65 years, Joyce W. Johnson, Marshall is survived by a daughter, Sharon J. Hartless (Wayne) and son, Jeffrey Lynn Johnson (Terri); four grandsons: Troy Hartless (Michelle), Kevin Hartless (Kim), Eric Johnson (Sarah) and Ryan Johnson; six great grandchildren: Taylor, Jake, Lauren Hartless and Savannah, Connor and Carson Hartless; a brother Eagle Johnson (Nancy) and sister, Claudine Powell.

 The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.at Temple Baptist Church, Madison Heights.  A memorial service and celebration of Marshall\"™s life will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. following visitation, by Evangelist Earl Clarkson and Pastor J.D. Surbaugh.
