David Michael Johnson, 57, of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away on November 4, 2025. He was the son of the late Michael Earl Johnson and Joyce Ann Smith Johnson, who survives him.

David was born on April 4, 1968, in Peterstown, West Virginia. He attended school at Brookville High School, then pursued his education in Drafting at Central Virginia Community College.

David attended Hope Company Church and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved fishing, golfing, wood carving, and cheering on UVA Football. He became an avid member of the Men’s Bible Study at Hope Company Church.

David is survived by his wife, Sherry Lynn Johnson, child, Corey Michael Johnson; Stepchildren, Eden Elizabeth Jordan and Joshua Dale Jordan; siblings, Phillip Joseph Johnson, Mark Grayson Johnson and his wife Sherry; nephews, Duston Joseph Johnson, Hunter Bryce Johnson and his wife Ashley and their son Stetson, Grayson Spencer Johnson, and Brayden Cole Johnson and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to his father, David is preceded in death by Jacob Allen Jordan, his stepson.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 10 am at Hope Company Church.

David will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love and light he brought into the world.
