Cynthia Dianne Lee

Cynthia Dianne Lee, 76, of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away on November 19, 2025. She was the daughter of the late LeRoy Thompson and Maggie J. Snead.

Cynthia was born on October 22, 1949 in Lynchburg, VA. She attended school at Dunbar High, then pursued several jobs prior to career in the U.S. Army as a Medical Supply/Logistics Specialist both Active Duty and in the Reserves. She continued her public service as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 25 years in Federal Way, WA prior to returning home to Lynchburg.

Cynthia is survived by her daughter Valincia Western and son-in-law Paul Western; grandchildren Stefan, Tiffany, great-grandchildren Naomi and Cason.

Cynthia will be remembered by her brother, Charles Sneed, brother-in-law, Alvin Rucker, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Cynthia is preceded in death by her siblings Sharlene Rucker, Herman Sneed Jr and Charitta Powell.

Cynthia was a lover of all things that were as unique she was, art, music and fashion. She was her happiest traveling and spending time and making memories with her family. She loved a good laugh, sharing a kind word and smile. She was unique, and she shared what was on her heart. She was loved by those who knew her. She was a cool person and she will be missed. She worshiped God in her way and knew He would take care of her on her journey Home.

Rest easy, Mom, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother and Friend.

A memorial service will be held at Tharp Funeral Home, in Lynchburg, at 1 PM on Saturday, December 6, 2025, with Rev. Dr. Mary O. Johnson officiating.
