Clara Allen Gray

Clara Allen Gray (Monday), 91, departed this life on Saturday March 21,2026.

She was the daughter of the late Herman and Flora Jane Allen of nelson county. She is preceded in death by two sons, Gerald Allen and Greg Allen Gray.

She is survived by one son, Robert Allen and three daughters, Lisa Gray, Angela Gray (Mark) of Lynchburg, VA, and Sherris Gray (Victor) of Madison heights. Eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Two sisters, Gladys Heming of Wingina, VA and Alice Jeffries of Lynchburg, VA, one brother, Clifford Allen of Indianapolis, IN. Two sisters in law, Jane Allen of Dillwyn, VA and Edith Allen of Schuyler, VA. A devoted granddaughter, Natasha Gray (Britteny), a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special friends, Marcella Frankin and Betty Ducker.

God saw her getting tired, a cure was not to be. He wrapped her in his loving Arms and whispered, “come with me.” She tried so hard to stay with us, but her fight was not in vain. God took her to his loving home and freed her from the pain. We love you, the family.
