Clara Allen Gray

Clara Allen Gray (Monday), 91, departed this life on Saturday March 21,2026.

She was the daughter of the late Herman and Flora Jane Allen of Nelson County. She is preceded in death by two sons, Gerald Allen and Greg Allen Gray.

She is survived by one son, Robert L. Allen; three daughters, Lisa Gray, Angela Gray (Mark) of Lynchburg, VA, and Sherrie Gray (Victor) of Madison Heights; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Fleming of Wingina, VA and Alice Jeffries of Lynchburg, VA; one brother, Clifford Allen of Indianapolis, IN; two sisters in law, Jane Allen of Dillwyn, VA and Edith Allen of Schuyler, VA; a devoted granddaughter, Natasha Gray (Brittany); special friends, Marcella Franklin and Betty Rucker; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends

God saw her getting tired, a cure was not to be. He wrapped her in his loving Arms and whispered, “come with me.” She tried so hard to stay with us, but her fight was not in vain. God took her to his loving home and freed her from the pain. We love you, the family.
