Christopher Allen Howell, 49, of Roanoke passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015 at his residence. He was born on July 2, 1965 in Lynchburg, VA, a son of the late Arthur G. Howell and Mildred Lacy Howell. In addition to his parents Chris was preceded in death by a brother, A. Barry Howell.
Chris enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved music especially Alice in Chains. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and making new friends. He never met a stranger.
Chris is survived by his five children, Christopher Shane Howell, Sasha Nicole Howell, Corey Bush, BriAna Lynn Howell and Caitlyn Elizabeth Howell; four grandchildren, Cadence Sade Howell, Sophia Renee Franklin, Jace Liam Hudgins and Addison Elizabeth Franklin; two siblings, Karen H. Mann and Tony L Howell; also numerous nieces, nephews and so many friends.

A celebration of Chris’s life and Graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Patmos United Methodist Church with Rev. Donnie G. Glass officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon also on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Tharp Funeral Home in Bedford. Arrangements by Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, (540) 586-3443.
