Cheryl Renee Ore

Cheryl Renee Murray Ore passed away on September 11, 2011. She is survived by her loving husband Charles Douglas Ore of 20 years. Cheryl was born in Nebraska, a daughter of Dorothy Murray of New Hampshire and she traveled the United States with her military family. She was predeceased by her father John Ivan Murray.



In addition to her husband, Cheryl is survived by her children, Joshua D. , Jolene D., and Charles H. Ore., her brothers, William Murray of Massachusettes, John Murray, and a sister, Susan Riley both of New Hampshire.



Cheryl had a love of the outdoors and especially of dragonflies. She loved the winter season and spent a great deal of time with her children sledding, building snowmen and making snow angels. She loved all children and worked with the Y.M.C.A. Discovery Program.   She especially loved the burnt orange color of pumpkins making Halloween one of her favorite seasons. Cheryl was a gentle and free spirit, who loved everyone and was loved by all who knew her.



Her visitation will be held, Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home with her service following at 4:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2316 Atherholt Road, Lynchburg, VA 24501, Attention: Relay for Life.
