Charles Dewey Tweedy Sr., of Goode, passed away on October 21, 2023, after a brief illness. He was born on April 22, 1954, to the late James Thornton Tweedy and Colleen Zera Campbell Tweedy.
He is survived by his wife, Martha McIntosh Tweedy; one son, Charles Tweedy Jr. (Kimberly); two granddaughters, Haley Collins (Michael) and Alyssa Griggs; two great - granddaughters, Saydee Talbott and Preslie Collins.
Special thanks to Crystal and Lorraine at Bedford Hospice House for their gentle care of Charles.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, from 1 – 2 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. at Virginia Memorial Park.
