Charles William Moore

Charles William Moore, 75, of Lynchburg, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026.

Charles was born on February 28, 1950, in Lynchburg, VA, to the late John Clyde Moore, Jr. and Geraldine Allen Moore. After completing high school, Charles joined the United States Air Force where he faithfully and passionately served his country. After serving in the Air Force, Charles pursued a career with Simplimatic Engineering as an Industrial Electrician.

He was a member of Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church. Charles enjoyed the outdoors, spending time camping and fishing with his wife.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Patricia Ann Moore; sister, Patricia Tweedy and her children; sister-in-laws, Karen Hobbs (Randy), Eva Smith (Carl), Kathy Humphries, and Mary Lee Cabel (Chip); brother-in-law, Lee Arritt, Jr. (Donna); and numerous nieces, nephews, pets, and friends.

A funeral service will be heled at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg with Rev. Adam White, officiating. Burial will be held at Fort Hill Memorial Park at a later date.
