Charles H. Wheelock, Iii
Charles H. Wheelock, III, 75, of Forest, died on April 13, 2012 at Westminster Canterbury. He was born in Boston, MA on August 26, 1936, a son of the late Charles Wheelock, Jr. and Helen Mulcahy Wheelock.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, David and Thomas Pendleton. He was the oldest of 7 siblings. He is survived by his wife, Rosalie Wheelock of Forest. They were married for 49 years. He is also survived by his son and son\"™s girlfriend, John Wheelock and Tammy Gordon of Forest and Bedford, daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Richard Doyle of Manchester, CT, grandchildren, Madelyn Wheelock of Midland, MI, and Anthony and Angela Doyle of Manchester, CT, brother, Paul Wheelock of Maine, sister, Diane Pendleton of Richmond, VA, sister, Suzanne Rechis of Austin, TX and brother, John Pendleton of Newton, MA. Additionally, he is survived by nieces, nephews, an aunt, uncle and several cousins. He was very proud of his family and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was employed by General Electric as an electrical engineer for many years, until he retired after a stroke. He also started several businesses during the course of his life.
Mr. Wheelock loved classical music, nature and taking trips to Ireland with his brother, Paul. Although he only resided at Westminster Canterbury for about two years, he had many friends there. He always enjoyed meeting new people and hearing about their lives. He was a great listener. The family would like to thank the staff and residents at Westminster Canterbury for the love shown to Mr. Wheelock over the last two years.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Westminster Canterbury at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2012.
