Carolyn Shelton Davidson, age 73, of Rustburg, went to be with the Lord on Friday morning April 5, 2019. She was born in Oak Ridge, Tenn. on January 8, 1946.
She was a devoted member of Hyland Heights Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Harold Edward “Bugg” Davidson; sister, Betty Joe Sims and a son-in-law, Bobby Lee Adkins. Surviving are two daughters: Laura Davidson Adkins and Karen Davidson Brewer; three grandchildren, Trey and Grace Adkins and Matthew Brewer; a sister, Lynn Mitchell and husband, Preston; brother, Richard Shelton and wife, Annette along with a multitude of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Carolyn’s Life will be held at Hyland Heights Baptist Church, 11452 Wards Road, Rustburg, Virginia at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2019 with Pastor Carl Weiser officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 8, 2019 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, Virginia.
