Carolyn Ann Skinner Hutchinson, 81, of Lynchburg, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on December 18, 2025. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, in-law, cousin, and friend. She was the daughter of the late Frank Russell Skinner and Nellie Daniel Skinner. She was married to Larry James Hutchinson for 59 years.

Carolyn was born on September 16, 1944, in Lynchburg, Virginia. She graduated from Brookville High School in 1962 and then attended National Business College in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Carolyn was a devoted Christian who believed in the biblical gospel of grace through faith. (Ephesians 2:8-9). She found her eternal salvation by putting all her trust on the finished work of Jesus.

She loved her family deeply and cherished the time she spent with them. She was honored to have her husband, Larry, lovingly serve as her primary care giver until his passing earlier this year. She was a caring mother who always made sure her children felt loved and supported. She adored her grandsons, Wyatt and River, and enjoyed watching them grow into outstanding young men. She will always be remembered by all who knew her as a very kind soul who loved her family and friends.

She enjoyed going on various family trips over the years. Carolyn loved visiting lighthouses and collecting lighthouse memorabilia. Her favorite pastimes included watching TV, especially The Andy Griffith Show, and listening to music. One of her most memorable trips was to Graceland to visit the home of her favorite artist, Elvis Presley.
