Carol Ann Vitrano of Bedford, Virginia - born on August 13, 1957 in Red Bank, NJ - passed on February 7, 2026. She was preceded in death and is now reunited with her parents Nick and Betty Vitrano and her brother George.
Throughout Carol’s life she constantly traveled. In her younger days she lived across much of the United States continuously enjoying new places and experiences and eventually setting deep roots in Bedford, VA.
Carol showed her love through the memories she created outdoors with others. She found joy in gardening and cherished her time spent by the water, hiking in the woods, and camping. These moments were lovingly shared with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends creating lasting memories rooted in togetherness, love, and a deep appreciation for Mother Nature.
Carol was affectionately known for her gift of gentle conversation and her ease of acceptance. She opened her home, her arms, and her heart over and over to those in need and those that just needed a warm soul to listen and a gentle shoulder to lean upon. Carol supported The Bedford Community Christmas Station and the Cat Donation Center. She regularly visited both to make donations while continuously helping to spread the word of their cause to others.
Carol’s memory will live on through the lives of her children: Ricky Bouck and Dawn Marie Goff; grandchildren: Brianna, Jalynn and Logan; and siblings: Beatrice, Frances, Nick, Sam, and Anthony - as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on February 27, 2026, at 3:00 pm at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.
