Carlos Rafael Roman Sr.

Carlos Rafael Roman Sr, 66, of Monroe Va, passed away on Monday, June 22,2026. He was born October 24, 1959 to Juan Lino Roman and Margarita Vega in Ciales, Puerto Rico.

In addition to his parents, Carlos was preceded in death by his son, Carlos Rican Roman Jr; siblings Juan Roman, Angel Roman, and Nilda Roman; and grandchildren Arianna Thornhill and Averee Roman.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 34 years, Melita Roman; daughters Nikita Roman, Carmelita McLeod (Richard), Shonte Batts (Brandon); sons Ramon Roman (Stacy) and Shawn Roman; grandchildren: Yazayra Andrades, Anton Roman, Havana Roman, and Skylar Roman; siblings Felix Roman and Luis Roman; best friends Anthony and Colleen Sutton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and spiritual family.

A visitation will be held Friday, June 26, 2026 from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at Tharp Funeral Home in Madison Heights, Va. A memorial service will be held on August 1st, 2026 at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Amherst, Va.
