Bryan Chandler Ferguson, 62, of Lynchburg, Virginia passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026. He was the loving and dedicated husband of Ramona Jenevie Ferguson.

Bryan “Beany” was born on August 28, 1963, in Lynchburg, Virginia to the late Carlton Conroy Ferguson, Sr. and Jean Davis Ferguson, surviving. Beany was an avid golfer and enjoyed taking his grandsons and teaching them the sport. He spent most of his career as a truck driver. Beany’s greatest joy was his family, and he loved them beyond measure. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help anybody. Always happy, smiling and joking. He was a very hardworking man and was always willing to go the extra mile in anything he did. He was well known and respected throughout the community. He raised his oldest two grandsons, Chandler and AJ, and made them the compassionate, intelligent young men they are today. There was nobody like their Papa and there never will be. They will cherish the many golf outings, fishing trips, life lessons, and all the knowledge and compassion he instilled in them. His baby girl, Journe “Pumpkin” was the light of his life, and he made sure she always felt loved and always knew that her Papa was always there for her. She will always cherish the special bond they shared and her many Starbucks trips in the mornings before school. He was beyond excited when he found out he was going to have two more baby boys to love and cherish. Grayson and Kayson loved their Papa, and we will keep his memory alive for them.

Beany’s two daughters, Monica Ferguson and Courtney Ferguson were his heart and soul. He loved and supported his daughters with every ounce of love in his body.

His wife, Ramona “Mona” was the love of his life and he was hers. A love like theirs is rare and he knew how much he was loved.

His legacy will live on through his wife, daughters, and grandchildren. He was the sweetest, kindest soul. Beany has left a void that can never be filled. He will forever be missed and remain in our hearts.

Bryan is survived by his loving wife, Ramona Ferguson; daughters, Monica Ferguson and Courtney Ferguson and her fiancé D’Angelo Anthony; his mother Jean Ferguson; mother in-law, Jenny Mccoy; big brother and best friend Carlton “Stoney” Ferguson, Jr. (Marie); his baby brother, Tracy “Mutt” Ferguson (Yvette “Auntie”); his sister Pamela “Pam” Ferguson; brother in-law, Rick McCoy (Sarah); nieces, Jenny, Nicole (whom he shared a special bond with), Alyssa, Brittney; nephews Rick, Jr., Jordan, Zachary, and Channing; great-nieces, Brooklyn and Brianna; special friends who are family, Charles and Debbie Payne; his “nephew” Brian Payne (Raven); as well as many special family members and friends (too numerous to list).
