Bronwyn Garbee Cowell went to be with her Lord on May 16, 2025. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter A. Garbee and mother Betty M. Garbee.
Born in Lynchburg, VA in 1947, Bronwyn graduated from E. C. Glass High School and James Madison University. She taught school in Texas and Virginia, with the latest years being at Virginia High School in Bristol. Bronwyn enjoyed teaching Sunday School and working with the young people in the churches her husband pastored.
Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, John Cowell, her brother Robert Mitchell Garbee (Patty), her sister, Susan Brandt (Leon), her nephews Tim Brandt (Jaclyn), David Brandt (Paige), Greg Garbee, and Ben Garbee (Brennan), and special great nieces, Addie Caroline, McKenna and Tenley Brandt and special great nephew, Owen Brandt.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg is assisting the family.
