Blanche Kidd Sewell
Susan Blanche Kidd Sewell, 97 of Columbus and Atlanta, GA, died in Lynchburg, VA on Tuesday, September 14, 2010. Born November 14, 1912 in Hartwell, GA, a daughter of the late Charles Alexander Kidd and the late Ruth Magill Kidd. She lived in Lavonia, GA until her marriage to Russell Neal Sewell.
In addition to her parents and husband, Blanche was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia Eugenia Kidd Rosander and a brother, Charles Alexander Kidd, Jr.
Blanche is survived by her daughter, Eugenia Sewell Davidson and husband, William Scott Davidson of Lynchburg, VA, and a son, Russell Neal Sewell, Jr. and wife, Linda Roberts Sewell of Atlanta, GA.
She is also survived by four grandchildren, Clark Lanier Davidson (Sari Guler), Russell Neal Davidson (Emily Farber), Rebecca Tindall Sewell, Russell Neal Sewell, III and three great grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2010 in Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, , with the Rev. Joseph Hassell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1104 2nd Ave., Columbus, GA 31901-2408 or a charity of your choice.
