Billie Raye Younger, 83, of Bonita Springs, FL and Lynchburg, VA, passed into the arms of our Lord while surrounded by her family on February 18th, 2026. She was born on March 20, 1942. The oldest of four children of the late Ray S. McClung and Mildred R. McClung of Robbinsville, NC,  Billie was preceded in death by her brother Gilbert McClung, and sister Ginger Lifpford.

She graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1960, and then attended Lynchburg College where she met the love of her life Ted. They were married in 1963 and began a lifelong adventure together with 51 years of marriage. After raising their two children, they retired to Corolla, NC. While the Carolina beaches satisfied her love of family and friend gatherings, they settled in Bonita Springs, FL in 1992. There, they enjoyed many years with new friends playing golf, boating, and hosting old friends from up North.

Her favorite thing to do was dancing with Ted, either Carolina two-stepping or shagging to beach music. Billie touched many lives during her time in Florida and Virginia.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Brandon Younger and wife Haven of Hagerstown, MD; daughter, Sheridan Conley and her husband Jaime of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Leighton, Griffin, Emerson, McRaye, and River; her sister, Deborah Clayton and husband Terry of Richmond VA; her nephews and nieces, David, Katy, Tracey, Will, Nicholas and Tyler; and of course her beloved dogs, Coco and Margo.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday March 29, 2026 at 11:30 AM at Tharp Funeral Home in Lynchburg, Virginia.
