Betty Lou Bell

Betty Winn Bell age 83, of Concord, Va. passed away Tuesday October 06, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Bobby Bell.

Betty worked at Imperial Reading corp. until they closed. She and her husband opened Central Virginia Air Freight inc. and Air Freight Cartage Company which operated for 21 years.

Betty is survived by a daughter: Glenna B. Orr of Concord; 2 Grandchildren: Kristen Orr and Amy Orr; Sister: Martha Winn Crutchfield of Concord; Sister-in-law: Elaine Bell Burney.

A family visitation will be held at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg on Sunday October 11, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Hebron United Methodist Church 111 Hebron Church Road Saxe, Virginia 23967 at 4:00 p.m. Sunday. 

Tharp Funeral Home and Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
