Bernice Leona Gladkowski

Bernice Leona Gladkowski, 90, of Moneta, Virginia passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2026. Bernice was born August 27, 1935, in Reidsville, North Carolina to the late Garland Cooper and Hester Bollick. She was the loving wife of first husband, Stephen B. McKinney and second husband, Henry J. Gladkowski. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by her son, Stevie McKinney.

Bernice was a faithful member of Halesford Baptist Church of Wirtz, Virginia. She loved children and dogs.

Bernice is survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

A graveside service will be held at Westminster Gardens Cemetery 3601 Whitehurst Road, Greensboro, N.C. 27410, on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 1:00 pm
