Audrey Lee Mosby, born October 26, 1956, entered eternal rest on February 11, 2026. Audrey was born to the late John R. and Doreathia B. Mosby Sr. and was raised in Brookneal, Virginia. She attended and graduated from William Campbell High School, where she formed many lifelong relationships.
Audrey was known for her sweet spirit and genuine heart. She had a remarkable gift for staying connected with others; always calling, checking in, and making sure people felt seen, valued, and loved. Her presence brought comfort, and her words carried warmth.
Through her work in manufacturing and healthcare, Audrey extended compassion to countless coworkers patients and families in need. She cared for others with patience, dignity, and tenderness, embodying the true meaning of service. Audrey was a faithful and devoted member of Burning Bush Church of God in Christ, where she served wholeheartedly. She sang in the choir, worked faithfully on the kitchen and cleaning committee, served as the Sunday School Superintendent and a Missionary. She served her church in excellence for many years.
Audrey had a deep love for plants and gardening. She found joy in nurturing life, watching things grow, and cultivating beauty; a reflection of the way she nurtured the people around her. She also had a vibrant sense of style. Audrey loved fashion and was known for having glasses to match every outfit, stepping out with grace, confidence, and undeniable flair.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John R. Mosby Sr. and Doreathia B. Mosby.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, LaChrisha (Billy Moon Jr.) and Morgan Mosby; four grandchildren, Shameka Moon, Mikyla Moon, Rashad Moon, and Niall Mosby; three great-grandchildren, Kensley, Taegan, and Harlem; six siblings, Reggie Mosby Sr. (Debra), Dareane Mosby, Dexter Mosby, John Mosby Jr. (Ruby), Karen Gamble (James Sr.), and Fitzgerald Mosby (Shantelle); one aunt, Marie Mosby and one uncle, Warren “Dennis” Younger, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and friends who loved her dearly. Audrey lived her life in a way that glorified God. Through her kindness, her service, her encouragement, and her unwavering faith, she inspired those around her to flourish and shine brightly. Her legacy is one of love, grace, and devotion. A life beautifully lived for christ.
A funeral ceremony will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at The Ramp Church International at 12:00P.M, A wake will take place Friday, February 20, 2026 at Burning Bush C.O.G.I.C. Brookneal, VA between the hours of 6:00P.M.- 7:30P.M. Ms. Mosby will also be available for viewing one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
