Anthony Epperson

Anthony “Andy” Carroll Epperson, 53, of Rustburg died Friday, February 9, 2018. He was the loving husband of Shannon L. Epperson and a loving father as well.

Andy was born October 18, 1964 in Lynchburg a son of Morgan Carroll Epperson and his wife Judy of Hurt and the late Anna Hailey Epperson. Andy worked as a professional automotive collision repairman where he touched many lives and made many long lasting friendships. He was an avid fisherman and when he was younger he enjoyed drag racing.

In addition to his wife and father he is survived by his children: Brandon Epperson and wife Jessica of Lynchburg, Haley Epperson and boyfriend Taylor McAbee of Prospect, Tony Epperson of Rustburg, Hillary Taylor of Rustburg, Michael Taylor of Buchanan, and Nicholas Epperson of Gretna, one grandson Dustin “Tadpole” Seufert, Jr., one sister Debrah Carol Epperson Lawhorne and Richard of Rustburg, one niece Anna Lawhorne, one nephew Zachary Lawhorne both of Rustburg, his best friends Derek Daniels of Brookneal, and Cheryl Kidd of Lynchburg, as well as many aunts, uncles and friends.

In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by one brother Shawn Epperson.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg.

A Celebration of Andy’s Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Christian Chapel 2347 Holliday St. Lynchburg, VA 24501 with Pastor Ray Triplett and Pastor Clyde Mawyer, Jr. officiating.
