Anne Catherine Whicker Campbell, 89, of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Commonwealth Senior Living in South Boston.  She was the beloved wife of the late Dallas Wade Campbell for over 63 years.

Anne was born on September 22, 1936, in Bristol, VA, a daughter of the late John Edward Whicker and Rose Carter Whicker.  

She was a devoted servant of her faith at Beulah Baptist Church, and she also treasured her time at home, where she lovingly cared for her family as a devoted wife and mother.

Anne is survived by her daughter, Debbi Campbell Bowen, and husband Leonard of Halifax, VA; her son, John Wade Campbell and wife Barbara of Halifax, VA; her four granddaughters, Anna Bowen and husband Gregory Ullom, Emily Bowen and husband, Keven Peach, Kelsey Osborne and husband Andrew, Madelynn Rollins and husband Chris. She was also joyfully blessed with six great-grandchildren: Alexandra Campbell Bowen-Ullom, Katherine Anne Peach, Michael Bowen Peach, Tristan Dallas Rollins, Elliana Jane Rollins, and Rowan Robert Rollins.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Dennis Hollandsworth officiating.  The family will receive guests at the Dan River Baptist Church parsonage, 1011 Bellevue Road, Halifax, VA 24558, on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 6:00-7:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Dan River Baptist Church – Debt Retirement Fund, 1228 Dan River Church Road, Halifax, VA 24558.
