Alsace Lorraine Cook Lecomte, 99, of Bedford passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018. She was the wife of the late Eugene Newton Suggs and the late Richard Lucien Lecomte. She is also preceded in death by a son: Ronald F. Suggs and son-in-law: Ora Hart, Jr.

Born January 23, 1919 in Savannah, Georgia she was a daughter of the late William Frank and Mary Eula Cook. She was a member of Morgan’s Baptist Church.

Alsace is survived by two sons: Eugene “Gene” Suggs, III and wife, Carol, John Suggs and wife, Angela; daughters: Evelyn S. Davis and husband, Robert, Kathryn Hart; daughter-in-law: Carolyn Suggs; and 56 in all, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Morgan’s Baptist Church in Moneta Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11 a:m.
