Allan Windell Farmer, 65, of Evington, Virginia, peacefully departed this life on July 20, 2026. He was born on July 14, 1961, in Lynchburg, Virginia, to the late Mattie Marie Farmer and Lloyd Roy Farmer, Sr.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd Roy Farmer, Jr.; his sister, Aletta Maria Farmer; and his nephews, Eric Moss and Kenton Hubbard.
Allan worked in the construction industry for many years before retiring. He was a simple man with a kind and generous heart who would do anything for his family. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and found his greatest joy in spending time with those he loved. A devoted football fan, Allan especially loved cheering for the Washington Commanders and faithfully supported his team through every season. He was remembered for his quiet strength, selflessness, and unwavering devotion to his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory four sisters: Linda Hubbard (Roy), Janice Moss (Gary), and Desserae Morton (Wayne), all of Evington, Virginia, and Carolyn Farmer (Benjamin Stovall) of Waterbury, Connecticut; three brothers: Glenn Farmer and Dennis Farmer, both of Evington, Virginia, and Lowell Farmer (Yoni) of Lynchburg, Virginia; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Though Allan will be deeply missed, his legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Chapel Grove Baptist Church at 11:00A.M. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Farmer will lie for viewing on Friday, July 24, 2026 from 8:00P.M. - 5:00P.M. at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg location.
