Albert Lowery

Albert Allen Lowery, 64, of Forest passed from this life Thursday, February 21, 2019 at his home. He was the husband of Trisia “T” Lowery for 17 years.

Al was born in Dublin, Georgia on June 29, 1954, the youngest son of the late Johnnie L. Lowery and Iris “Dot” Lowery. Al graduated from the West Laurens High School in Dublin, GA and also graduated from Southern Technical College in Atlanta. He was retired from BWX Technologies working in Quality Assurance for 38 years.  Al enjoyed camping, chatting with his friends on Facebook, and spending time with his dogs and cats.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers, Jack Lowery (Becky) of Cadwell, GA, Louis Lowery of Macon, GA, two sisters, Becky Senn (David) of East Dublin, GA, and Johnnie Merle White of Dublin, GA, sister-in-law Annelle Lowery of Cadwell, GA, and several nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by our “kids”: Chelsea Poole, Daniel Poole, Kyle Andrews, and Jawaad Douglas.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Cullen and Jenny Lowery, and maternal grandparents Barney and Lyma Tipton, a brother Hugh Lowery, and a daughter Melisa Lowery-Sanker.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2019 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg.

A Celebration of Al’s Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2019 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg with Pastor Ricky Ewing officiating.

The family is receiving friends during other times at the Cornelius Home in Bedford.

A memorial service will also be held in Rentz, GA at a later date.
