Kay Rice has been associated with Tharp Funeral Home since 1996. She is a funeral director and the operations manager overseeing daily operations.

She received a Certificate in Accounting from Central Virginia Community College, an Associates Degree in Mortuary Science, Magna Cum Laude, from John Tyler Community College, and completed RTS (Resolve Through Sharing) training.

She is a member of Timbrook Woman.s Club, Women of the Moose Chapter 1335, is a committee member with the Heart of Virginia Branch of the QDMA, and attends the annual Professional Women.s Conference for women in funeral service.

Kay is married to Charles Dugger and is very proud to be a part of the community where her family and friends reside.
